Every day, women may face stress, insufficient rest, and many other issues that can lead to dry, dull skin. ACSEINE is happy to address your concerns and provide solutions for every skin problem you encounter, helping you find a way to restore your beautiful, healthy skin once again.

1. Sometimes my skin feels dry and rough. Does this mean I have a skin condition?
Dryness and dullness are common skin issues many people face, especially during seasonal transitions when temperature changes can weaken the skin and make it more sensitive. Besides the weather, factors such as menstruation, stress, and lack of sleep can also easily trigger skin problems. If dry and rough skin is not properly cared for, it could potentially lead to skin diseases in the future.

2. How should I care for dry, damaged skin?
When you start to feel that your skin is dry and damaged, you should choose skincare products recommended by dermatologists or experts that help restore moisture. This includes using emulsions and gels that penetrate the skin easily without causing irritation, or products containing ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid.

3. If I already use several types of lotions, do I still need to apply creams or other nourishing products?
For effective skincare, using lotion alone may not be enough. While lotions help condition the skin and provide an appropriate level of moisture, emulsions, gels, serums, essences, or creams offer additional nourishing properties. Even though lotions feel refreshing, using them alongside other products enhances the overall effectiveness, helps lock in moisture for longer, and definitely yields better results for skin health than using a single product.

4. When my skin is in poor condition, is it better to stop using facial cleansers?
Having damaged or sensitive skin doesn’t mean you should cut back on care. Cleansing is a vital step in any skincare routine, especially when the skin is compromised. Damaged skin can lead to a weakened skin barrier and reduced function, resulting in dryness, lack of moisture, acne, and clogged pores. Therefore, you need to increase your care and be meticulous in choosing gentle products that address your specific skin concerns effectively.

5. What should I do if my skin feels dry after washing my face?
We recommend a 2-step cleansing routine. Start by clearing away makeup, oil, and dust—the main causes of dry skin—using a cleanser to gently wipe away all impurities. Choose a cleanser with gentle ingredients and moisturizing agents. Then, wash your face with lukewarm water to maintain moisture within the skin cells. Gently massage your face in a circular motion with your hands; avoid rubbing or scrubbing harshly, as this can cause the skin to lose moisture and become inflamed.

6. Is it true that cosmetics for sensitive skin might not be effective?
Hypoallergenic cosmetic products on the market don’t always guarantee effectiveness for sensitive skin. This is because the effects of other ingredients in the product might be too harsh or so diluted that they have no impact on the user’s skin at all.

At Acseine, we recognize this issue. That’s why we prioritize every ingredient in our products, conducting research to develop formulas and carefully selecting each component to suit different skin types. This ensures effective care for all skin concerns while remaining gentle, non-irritating, and friendly to sensitive skin.

7. Does UV radiation have other side effects besides causing dull skin?
In addition to causing dullness, UV radiation can also lead to rough skin, dark spots, melasma, freckles, premature wrinkles, and sagging skin. If you don’t apply sunscreen with an appropriate SPF or PA rating, it could even lead to skin cancer!

8. Is UV radiation only dangerous during the summer?
Regardless of the season, UV radiation can damage your skin at any time. Even in winter, when the sun isn’t as bright as in summer, UV rays can still penetrate deep into skin cells, causing dullness, sunburn, and dryness. Protecting your skin from UV radiation is something you should do year-round to maintain a beautiful and healthy complexion.

9. What does it mean for a sunscreen to be chemical-free and non-UV absorbing?
There are two types of sunscreens: those that absorb UV rays (Chemical Sunscreens) and those that do not (Non-chemical or Physical Sunscreens). A sunscreen that is good for easily irritated skin should reflect UV rays rather than absorbing them into the skin, as this is gentler and provides full protection. All Acseine sunscreens are chemical-free and non-UV absorbing (100% Physical Sunscreen).

10. Why do I experience itching after using sunscreen and cosmetics?
This can be caused by various factors, as everyone’s skin has different sensitivity levels to different triggers. It could be due to the product’s ingredients or even the pigments used, both of which can cause itching and irritation. Therefore, you should choose products with gentle ingredients that do not contain irritants. Recognizing this issue, Acseine uses our proprietary PV (Perfect Veil) technology—an innovative silica coating that prevents pigments and ingredients from coming into direct contact with the skin, thereby preventing itching and irritation.

11. If I feel facial irritation from the cosmetics I’m using, should I stop using them immediately?
If you experience irritation from using cosmetics, you should stop using them and consult a dermatologist immediately to find a solution and select products suitable for your skin type.

12. Can I apply makeup if I have dry skin?
You can achieve a beautiful makeup look no matter how dry your skin is. However, you should use a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated so that makeup lasts longer and looks better. It’s important to choose a product that feels light and doesn’t leave a sticky residue that could interfere with the color or texture of your makeup. Acseine’s MoistBalance Gel is a highly hydrating gel that penetrates the skin immediately upon application. The gel reacts with the skin’s NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor) and transforms into water, providing a lightweight feel without any stickiness. It can turn dry, rough skin into a hydrated, soft, and radiant complexion, helping you achieve the beautiful, healthy makeup look you desire.

13. How can I stop dark spot problems?
To prevent dark spots from reappearing, the best solution is to protect your skin from UV radiation, which is a major cause of pigmentation. Additionally, using irritating products or allowing the skin to be damaged by various chemicals can also easily lead to dark spots. Therefore, you should protect your skin from UV damage by using an appropriate sunscreen with at least SPF 30+ and PA++ protection. Use gentle, certified hypoallergenic products to nourish and care for your skin, keeping it soft and free of dark spots.
